Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) describes businesses, activities, and behaviour that are not permitted on MondialPay. It exists to keep our platform safe, compliant, and usable for everyone.
1. Restricted businesses
The following business categories are restricted. You may only use MondialPay for these activities with our explicit written approval and only where legal in every jurisdiction where you operate:
- Regulated financial services (lending, investments, insurance)
- Adult content and services
- Online gambling, betting, and fantasy sports
- Cannabis, CBD, and related products
- Firearms, ammunition, and weapons
- Cryptocurrency exchanges, mining, and custodial wallets
- High-risk merchant categories with elevated chargeback rates
2. Prohibited businesses
The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination:
- Anything illegal in any jurisdiction where the transaction occurs
- Fraud, money laundering, or financing terrorism
- Child sexual abuse material or content that sexualises minors
- Human trafficking, forced labour, or exploitation
- Counterfeit or stolen goods
- Intellectual property infringement, piracy, or unauthorised distribution
- Unregistered securities, pyramid schemes, or Ponzi schemes
- Sale of personal data obtained unlawfully
- Hate speech, violence, or discrimination
- Controlled substances without proper licensing
3. Prohibited conduct
Regardless of business type, you may not:
- Circumvent MondialPay security features or rate limits
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the MondialPay platform
- Use MondialPay APIs to build a competing payment processor
- Share API credentials between unrelated entities
- Submit fraudulent documents or misrepresent your business
- Attempt to exploit or bypass fraud-prevention controls
4. Enforcement
We review accounts continuously. If we believe you are violating this AUP, we may:
- Request additional information or documentation
- Limit specific features, transaction types, or volume
- Place funds on hold pending investigation
- Suspend or terminate your account
- Report activity to regulators and law enforcement where required
5. Changes
We may update this policy as regulations and risks evolve. Material changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance via email and in the MondialPay dashboard.
