Acme Commerce operates a multi-sided marketplace connecting buyers with 18,000+ verified sellers in 52 countries. Every week they have to pay every active seller — in their local currency, on time, every time.
Before MondialPay
Acme had three different systems — SWIFT wires for high-value sellers, a domestic ACH provider for US sellers, and a PSP for everyone else. Engineering built custom reconciliation on top of all three. Every Friday's payout run was a manual, multi-hour operation.
After MondialPay
One API call uploads the entire batch. MondialPay handles routing, retries, and local-currency conversion. The whole process now runs automatically overnight, and the operations lead gets a Slack message at 7am saying "done, X dollars paid out to Y sellers."
The numbers
First-try payout success rate jumped from 92.1% (across the old three systems) to 99.7% with MondialPay's automatic retry logic. The ops team reclaimed one full-time person's worth of work per week. And they expanded into 18 new countries in the first six months without lifting an engineering finger.
